For experienced climbers, the Gerlossteinwand via ferrata presents a challenging route, while the Talbach via ferrata is perfect for families. At the Riederklamm Adventure Garden in Gerlos, climbers can practice on various training routes and gain valuable experience in a safe and fun environment.

Erlebnisgarten Riederklamm Gerlos

Just a short distance from our hotel in Gerlos, the via ferrata park at Riederklamm offers a range of routes for climbers of all skill levels. Whether you’re training for longer climbs or just starting out, the Erlebnisgarten has something for everyone.

The Riederklamm via ferrata includes shorter introductory routes and a longer, more challenging main course. In 2020, a new section (grade C) and an E-variant were added after the impressive 70-meter suspension bridge. From the top, you can enjoy stunning views of the region’s 3,000-meter peaks.

Klettersteig Talbach

Located next to the stunning Talbach waterfall, Klettersteig Talbach offers a gradually challenging via ferrata experience. The easy entry section is ideal for beginners and children, building confidence as they climb. In the lower section, difficulty increases from A to D/E, perfect for testing your limits, with exit points after each level for added flexibility.

The main section, designed for experienced climbers, includes two long suspension bridges, with the final one crossing above the water reservoir’s outflow. In spring or after heavy rain, you’ll witness the impressive power of the waterfall.

  • Approach: 5-minute walk from Jausenstüberl Talbach
  • Descent: From the respective exit, follow the path either to the right or left of the Talbach down to Jausenstüberl and the parking lot

Alpine Via Ferrata Gerlossteinwand

The Gerlossteinwand via ferrata is a true labor of love, built by the dedicated members of the Zell mountain rescue team. With over 450 meters of steel cable, 300 handholds, 230 cable clamps, and 150 anchor bolts, this route is designed for adventure seekers looking to experience the beauty of the Zillertal mountains up close.

This alpine via ferrata is the perfect way for active, nature-loving individuals of all ages to explore the stunning mountain landscape during a summer holiday in the Zillertal. Equipped with the right gear and proper technique, anyone can enjoy the thrill of this route.
